BLPA hosted its 1st Livestock breeders meeting to understand what the breeders are doing currently and together work on a national genetic development Agenda to optimize production and improve the quality of meat with an aim to provide consistent quality meat to both local and international consumers. A key point discussed was the importance of a Breeders Registry. This will be a joint venture that BLPA, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Breeders will work together to improve genetics in Belize.
