September 17, 2024 – The Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote sustainable growth in Belize’s cattle industry.

The partnership focuses on advancing climate-smart livestock practices to enhance farmers’ resilience to climate change and drive economic growth. Through this collaboration, DFC will provide financial support, while BLPA will offer technical assistance to improve productivity, herd genetics, and sustainability.

Together, DFC and BLPA aim to strengthen the livestock sector and contribute to the overall development of Belize’s agricultural economy.
