Validation Workshop on Value Chain Analysis on cattle

October 24, 2024, a significant meeting was convened in the conference room of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise. This validation workshop aimed to critically assess and validate the key findings pertaining to the sustainable beef cattle value chain in Belize. This initiative is jointly organized by the UNDP and FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the united Nations), Funded by SCALA(Scaling up Climate Ambition on Land Use and Agriculture) private Sector Engagement facility Programme.

During the session, experts presented a comprehensive analysis of the current market landscape, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities within the beef cattle industry. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions, ensuring that the findings accurately reflected the realities faced by stakeholders in the sector.

In addition to validating these findings, the workshop emphasized actionable solutions and concrete recommendations designed to enhance the sustainability of the value chain. These strategies are intended to address critical issues such as environmental impact, economic viability, and social equity within the industry.
