On November 7, 2024, the Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA), in collaboration with the International Regional Organization for Agricultural Health (OIRSA), the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE), the Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA), and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), conducted a training session on the New World Screw Worm. The training, led by Dr. Abelardo de Gracia, OIRSA’s Director of Animal Health, took place at the BLPA conference room. Attendees included MAFE’s extension officers and BLPA’s Authorized Local Agents (ALAs).
