In line with BLPA’s strategic plan to develop a green livestock industry in Belize. BLPA hosted a series of trainings from August 1 – 5th,, 2022 under the topic – “Livestock Intensification – Creating a More Resilient and Greener Livestock Industry”. These trainings were carried out in the Belize, Cayo, Corozal, and Orange Walk Districts by 3 key presenters from the University of Yucatan, Mexico: Dr. Fransicso J. Solorio, Dr. Baldomero Solorio, and Dr. Juan C. Ku focusing on the regenerative system – the SilvoPastoral System which reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
