Movement Control Officer (MCO)
The Belize Livestock Registry (BLR) is an entity managed by Belize Livestock Producers’ Association. BLR is responsible for the traceability and ownership registry of all cattle in Belize.
Primary Responsibility: MCOs ensures to inspect all cattle movement permits and make sure all transporter have an ID with them for verification.
Duration: Permanent
Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Verification of Bovine ID ear tag being exported
- Verification of Movement Permits and other pertinent documentation
- Verification of proper procedures being followed by transporters and cattle ranchers
- Entering data and uploading documents on BLR
- Proper filing procedures of all movement permits received at the checkpoint
- Create Reports for the BLR Manager
- Collection of ear tags from Transporters
Qualifications:
- Computer literate
- Able to use the MS Suite (Word & Excel)
Reports To: BLR Manager
Working Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Location: Bullet Tree Falls, Checkpoint Office, Cayo
