Bullet Tree Checkpoint
The Bullet Tree Livestock Checkpoint is located in the Village of Bullet Tree Falls in the Cayo District. It’s about 5 kilometers northwest from San Ignacio Town, the checkpoint is found opposite to the Bullet Tree police station entering the Calla Creek road.
What all we check for at the checkpoint?
- We ensure to inspect all cattle movement permits and make sure we verify Cess receipt and transporter ID.
- We properly verify each ear tag number on the permit and verify a total of heads.
- We then release the truck\trailer when inspection is completed and export that permit in the BLR.
- We collect returned exported tags brought back by the transporters.
- We check both local movement and export permits.
- We Update any cattle movements in the BLR system for proper traceability.

Jalacte Checkpoint
The Jalacte checkpoint is Located in the outskirts of the Jalacte village in the Toledo District. 41.5 kilometers from from the Dump Village to the Jalacte village, About 1hr driving on the southern Highway.
What all we check for at the checkpoint?
- Inspection of cattle movement permits both Local and Export. We ensure all data on each permit is accurate and correct.
- We verify cess reciept and transporter ID
- Inspection of ear tags on animals and ensure it is correspondent to the permits and as well a head count of the total animals in the truck.
- After all of the above is done and everything is in order we then proceed by releasing the truck.
- We then enter information on the spread sheet.
- We then collect ear tags that are bought back by transporter. And once more we check that all ear tags are returned and corresponds to the specific given permits.
