BLPA Bull Rental Service
A breeding program was established under the GEF/UNDP Small Grants Programme to enhance herd genetics. Four Brangus breed bulls were imported, and a bull service program was designed and implemented to allow farmers to take advantage in improving their herd genetics. This initiative aims not only to enhance productivity but also to increase income earnings.
Farmers interested in renting one of the bulls, can look at a general outline of rental procedures below:
- Contact BLPA – Reach out to inquire about availability, and requirements. Provide details about the farm location and the duration needed. Max duration for rental is 60 days and the cost for renting a bull is $5.00Bze/day.
- Farm Inspection – BLPA’s Veterinarian visits and inspects the farm to make sure all requirements are met.
- Agreement – Farmer will be required to sign a rental agreement outlining the terms and conditions of the rental. This document will specify the details such as rental duration, fees, liability responsibilities, transportation, and handling.
By following these procedures, you can ensure a smooth and successful bull rental experience while prioritizing safety and compliance with legal requirements such as movement permit.
