On February 28th, 2026, the Belize Livestock Producers’ Association (BLPA) proudly celebrated its 47th Annual General Meeting at the BLPA Office in Belmopan. The event was a tremendous success, welcoming an impressive attendance of 735 participants, including livestock farmers, partners, stakeholders, and supporters from across the country.
This year’s meeting was held under the theme, “Building a New Legacy: Empowering Livestock Farmers, Building Markets, and Securing a Sustainable Future Economy.” The theme reflects our continued commitment to strengthening the livestock sector by supporting our farmers, expanding market opportunities, and working toward a resilient and sustainable agricultural future for Belize.
We were also honored to have Honorable Rodwell Ferguson Minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries as our guest speaker. He delivered an important and inspiring address to the farmers, highlighting the significance of the livestock industry to Belize’s economy and emphasizing the need for continued collaboration, innovation, and support for local producers.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who took the time to attend and participate in this important gathering. Your presence and support play a vital role in the continued growth and success of the livestock industry.
